Designing a Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Infrastructure Course Details:

In this course for experienced SharePoint administrators, you will learn to design and plan the deployment of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Online. You will focus on the advanced topics of capacity planning, topology designing, and performance tuning, and you will participate in exercises such as mapping logical architecture, service application architecture, and the capacity and performance plan against a physical architecture. You will also design a security plan for SharePoint 2010 based on the principle of least-privilege. You will learn the key differences between SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Online during on-premise deployments, including Service Pack 1 implications for SharePoint 2010. This course will prepare you for Exam 70- 668, PRO: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Administrator.

This course incorporates materials from the Official Microsoft Learning Product 10231: Designing a Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Infrastructure.

IT professionals, especially senior administrators who have at least six months of experience with SharePoint 2010 (including pre-released versions of the product), who use Microsoft SharePoint 2010 in a team-based, medium-sized to large environment. While they may have implemented a SharePoint deployment, they have limited experience in designing a SharePoint infrastructure.
